One of the most surprising albums of the last few years for me! I have nearly all of Purls' work, and am used to his ethereal and blissed out journeys, and drones, sometimes tinged with a hint of remorse, nostalgia and melancholy. But never beats! But the drums & Bass are soft, gentle and really are there to enhance the rhythms already present in this superb album.
